General notes:
Download and save these files before applying them. Although you can directly execute them from this site, by saving them locally you can scan them with your anti-virus tool.
For INF files, right click and select install. Generally there is no message displayed.
For REG files, right click and select merge. You will get a pop-up requesting permission to add the data into your registry. You must answer YES for the change to take effect.
| Del1stHomePage.inf | This is a rarely required IE patch. It clears the "First Home Page" key for IE. Generally this key, if present, will cause IE to open the referenced page first and then will delete the key. There are instances of some software preventing the delete and this is also a hook used by some malware to insure reinfection. |
| EnableDesktop tabs.reg | This reg patch should restore all missing tabs from the Desktop control panel applet. |
| Reset exe.reg | This patch will reset the exe, bat, com, pif and scr registry keys to their default state. It will also enable registry edit tools. |
