Welcome To Scouting

Right Align Everyone has heard of the Boy Scouts of America, but not many people know exactly what we do. Some people think the only things we do are good deeds, work on merit badges, and go camping. These things are important parts of Scouting, but it is certainly not all of it. It is only a fraction of the Scouting experience, but the question still stands. What do Scouts do? Just keep reading!

Troop 37 currently has 32 boys ranging in age from 10½ to 17 years. We're organized into four patrols providing plenty of leadership opportunities. We exercise that leadership every time we go camping, backpacking, caving, canoeing, and climbing. And we take a trip or do an activity at least every month. Some of these events are captured on film and you're welcome to browse around to see some of what we do in the troop.

Scouting also provides a chance for you to earn badges and to work on rank advancement.

Each rank has a list of requirements that must be completed before a Scout can advance. The first rank you can earn is the Scout rank. From there you can work your way up to Eagle Scout, the highest rank.

Scouting also gives you the chance to become a leader and to work with many different people to achieve a common goal.
