*Fri 01/20/12-Sun 01/22/12 Troop 269 hosted the 2012 Klondike Derby at Lakeview Park in Frankfort. Well over 200 Scouters attended. Everyone had a great time and all the Troops did awesome at all the stations. Thank you to everyone that helped and came to the event. Pictures are up in our Pictures link.*

*Fri 12/16/11-Sun 12/18/11 Troop 269 had our Christmas campout at our cabin. Everyone had a great time exchanging presents, playing games, eating and watching movies.*

Fri 11/18/11 and Sat 11/19/11 Scout Troop 269 helped collect cash and food items for the Food Drive at Kroger. Thank you to all who helped and donated.

Sat 11/05/11 we worked at our cabin. A lot of work was done, good job all.

Sat 10/29/11 - Sun 10/30/11 Troop 269 backpacked, hiked and camped in the Red River Gorge. The weather was great for hiking and everyone had a good time. Pics are up.

Sat 10/22/11 we had a work and advancement day at our cabin, Camp Michael. More work needs to be done soon.

Fri 10/14/11 - Sun 10/16/11 Troop 269 backpacked the 21 mile Mischa Mokwa Trail on Cumberland Mountain. Everyone had a great time and did a great job hiking. Pics are up.

Fri 09/23/11 the Scouts will be backpacking 5 miles and camping out in preparation for Mischa Mokwa trail.

Fri 09/16/11 - Sat 09/17/11 Troop 269 camped and went canoeing at Still Water Campground. Everyone had a lot of fun on the water.

Fri 09/09/11 - Sat 09/10/11 some of our Scouts went through the Order of the Arrow Ordeal. Congratulations to those that made it.

Fri 08/26/11 - Sat 08/27/11 Troop 269 camped at our cabin. We worked on advancements and merit badges.

Tues 08/23/11 we went to a Lexington Legends game and ate lots of hotdogs.

Sat 08/20/11 we had a work/advancement day at our cabin, Camp Michael.

07/03/11 - 07/09/11 the Troop went to Camp Friedlander. Everyone worked hard and had a great time. A lot of merit badges were earned.

Fri 06/17/11 Troop 269 helped with the Relay For Life. Great job Scouts.

Tue 04/19/11 we had Troop Elections. Congratulations to all who won or were appointed to an office or position. /Salute .

Sat 04/09/11 BSA Troop 269 had an open house at Camp Michael, our cabin. We had a great turn out with over 40 people attending.

Fri 04/01/11 - Sun 04/03/11 Scout Troop 269 worked at the Reforest Frankfort event. A lot of trees were planted and everything went well. Thank you to all who helped.

Sat 02/26/11 the Troop went to the Danville Railroad Exhibit. Troop 269 is working on Railroading MB. Everyone had a good time learning about trains.

Sat 02/19/11 we worked at Camp Michael. Thanks to all who came out and helped.

Sat 02/12/11 Troop 269 went to a merit badge fair. Everyone worked hard and a lot of merit badges were earned. Good job all.

Fri 01/21/11 - Sun 01/23/11 Scout Troop 269 hosted the 2011 Klondike Derby. We had over 170 Scouts, leaders and others attend, this was the largest turn out in over 10 years. We had cold weather and plenty of snow to pull our sleds on, perfect for a Klondike Derby. All the Scouts worked very hard as teams and did well in each of the activities. Everyone had a great time and congrats to all who competed and won awards. Thank you to all the Scouts, leaders and adults who attended and worked to make this a huge success. /SALUTE

We had a Christmas camp out at Camp Michael. Everyone had a great time and enjoyed staying warm, eating good food, doing activities and trading presents.

Fri-Sat-Sun 12/03/10 - 12/05/10 Troop 269 had 3 work days doing various activities. Thanks to all who helped out and worked hard.

Fri 11/19/10 and Sat 11/20/10 at Kroger West we collected food items and money for the Food Drive. Troop 269 collected truck loads of food and a lot of cash for the Food Pantry. Thank you to all who helped and donated. Great job Troop 269. /Salute.

Fri 11/12/10 - Sun 11/14/10 we camped at Camp Michael. Troop 269 worked on rank, merit badges and worked around the cabin.

Sat 11/06/10 we had a pancake breakfast at the American Legion. Everyone ate a lot and we made some money for the Troop.

Sat 10/30/10 - Sun 10/31/10 we went to the Red River Gorge for hiking and camping. We had 2 nice days for hiking.

Fri 10/15/10 - Sun 10/17/10 Troop 269 went to Peterloon 2010 in Loveland, OH. 5,200+ Scouters attended. There were a lot of activities, competitions, a laser light show and fun for all.

Sat 10/02/10 we went to Perryville to hike 10 miles and watch the battle reinactment. Troop 269 hiked the Dry Canteen Trail.

Sat 09/25/10  Troop 269 hiked two 10+ mile trails back to back. Some of the Scouts hiked the 1st trail and some hiked both for a total of 20+ miles. Great job to all.

09/21/10 we had a Court of Honor. We had 6 Scouts rank up and 150+ merit badges were awarded. Great job Troop 269, keep up the hard work. Congrats to everyone on rank and badges.

Fri 09/17/10 - Sun 09/19/10 Troop 269 went camping and canoeing at Stillwater Campground. Everyone had a good time.

Tue 09/07/10 we had a Troop 269 mobilization at Cove Springs. Everyone did a great job and worked together very well. Thank you to everyone that helped with the event.

Sat 08/28/10 we had a work and water day at Camp Michael. Thank you to the Scouts who showed up and worked.
                
Sat 08/21/10 12 Scouts helped at the American Legion picnic and made the Monkey Bridge. Thank you to all who attended.

Sat 08/14/10 Troop 269 hiked the 10 mile Capital View Trail. Good job everyone.
  
Mon 08/02/10 some of the Scouts hiked the 21 mile Mischa Mokwa trail in 1 day. Great job all.

Sun 07/10/10 we all made it back from Camp Friedlander safe and sound. 140+ merit badges were earned again this year. Everyone had a lot of fun. Great job Troop 269! /Salute

The week of 06/21/10 some of the Scouts went canoeing on the Kentucky River 50+ miles. Everyone had a great time and finished the trip. Congrats on the 50 miler award.

Tue 06/08/10 we had a Troop 269 Court of Honor. There were a lot of merit badges, service pins and rank ups awarded. Great job everyone, keep up the hard work. A big Thank You to all the Leaders and Adults that work hard to help Troop 269 succeed.

Thu 06/03/10 we had Richie's Eagle Court of Honor, it was a very nice ceremony. Congratulations Richie on Eagle rank! /Salute.

Fri 05/28/10-Sun 05/30/10 we camped at the Forks of Elkhorn. Troop 269 worked on scouting skills, rank and had a cross over ceremony for our new Scouts. We went canoeing, swimming, fishing and played sports.

Saturday 05/29/10 we placed flags on Veterans graves for Memorial Day, good job all.

Tue 05/11/10 we had Patrick's Eagle Court of Honor, it was a very nice ceremony. Congratulations Patrick on Eagle rank! /Salute.

Sat 05/08/10 Troop 269 had an open house at our cabin, Camp Michael. Thank you to all who attended and helped during the day.

Mon 05/03/10 Troop 269 worked on Weather MB with Troop 1. Thank you Troop 1 for the invite.

Fri 04/30/10-Sun 05/02/10 the Scouts camped at Camp Michael and had a good time.

The Troop has been working on Public Speaking, Weather, Path Finding, Photography and Cit. in the Community MB's. Good work all, adults and scouts.

Fri 04/16/10-Sun 04/18/10 we camped and worked at the cabin. On Sat some of the Scouts attended a leadership workshop and went to the Life Adventure Center.

We had Troop 269 elections Tue 04/13/10.

Thu 04/08/10 we went to the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, OH. We toured the museum and four former Presidents Air Force One jets. Everyone had a great time.

Fri 04/02/10-Sun 04/04/10 we camped and worked at the Reforest Frankfort event. Troop 269 had a large turn out and 2000+ trees were planted.

Fri 03/26/10-Sun 03/28/10 we camped at the cabin and worked on Merit Badges. We finished up some partial MBs and visited the Fire Station.

Sat 03/20/10 we had a Workday at the cabin. Thank you to all who showed up. The Scouts and adults worked very hard and got a lot done.

Tues 03/02/10 we had a Court of Honor. A lot of Scouts ranked up and Merit Badges were awarded. Keep up the hard work.

Fri 03/12/10-Sun 03/14/10 we camped at the cabin and went to Fort Knox/Patton Museum. We had large turn out and everyone had a good time.

Sat 02/27/10 Troop 269 went to the Merit Badge Fair. Everyone worked very hard and we came away with a lot of merit badges. Good job all.

Sat 02/20/10 we worked on Geology Merit Badge. We went to a dinosaur exhibit in Danville.

Fri 02/19/10 we had a Lock In at Millville School. The Scouts played basketball, other games, watched movies and stayed up way to late.

Sat 02/13/10 Troop 269 went to the Merit Badge Fair. It was a very productive day with most getting a Merit Badge. Great job all.

Fri 01/22/10-Sun 01/24/10 we went to the Klondike Derby. The Scouts worked very well together as teams and did excellent in all events.

Fri 12/18/09-Sun 12/20/09 we had our Christmas Campout at our cabin. The Scouts went to the Aviation Museum.

Fri 11/20/09-Sun 11/22/09 we went to Camp Mckee and went Hiking in the Red River Gorge.

Sat 10/24/09-Sun 10/25/09 we went  Backpack Hiking 5+ miles and Camping in the Red River Gorge. Everyone had a great time.

Sat 10/10/09-Mon 10/12/09 Troop 269 went to the Cumberland Gap for Backpacking 21+ miles on the Mischa Mokwa Trail.
