"Hypertrichosis" is a term to denote excessive and

abnormal growth of hair. Most people, fortunately, have

"superfluous hair" which is excess hair which is not

abnormal for their age and sex, but is simply

undesirable socially.

Hair growth is stimulated by a number of factors

including hormone stimulation, increased blood supply to

an area, and congenital patterns.

Tweezing or waxing unwanted hair (which is a physical

ripping of hair from its follicle) only serves to make the

ever-returning hair shaft more pigmented and courser

than before, its root & blood supply deeper-seated, and

the hair follicle to become twisted and distorted. Thus

making an electrologists work harder.

Whereas, shaving or scissoring unwanted hair is simply

shortening the length of the shaft, and leaving the blood

supply and follicle undisrupted. Thus making the

problem no worse.

The only way to permanently remove unwanted hair is to

destroy the blood supply and germ cell layer of that

particular hair located on the bulb of the shaft deep in the

follicle.

"Electrolysis" is the use of galvanic electricity forming a

chemical reaction with the moisture in the skin that

creates NaOH, or lye, to fill the hair follicle and kill hair

cells.

"Thermolysis" is the use of low intensity, high frequency

current which in transformed into "heat" energy which

coagulates the blood supply of the hair.

"The Blend" duel action method is the use of

Electrolysis and Thermolysis in a combined effect which

gives the best success.

60 minutes = $90.00

The total number of sessions needed to achieve permanency is dependant upon the total surface area, new growth pattern, and any regrowth. During your consultation the electrologist can estimate how many treatments you may need to achieve "a clear".
